How we started
Liva (previously 50.8) started with a project founded in 2017 by Tom and Alexis, with a clear ambition: create a space dedicated to photographers who value both quality equipment and the right environment to explore it.
It started with a photo studio in Brussels, and naturally evolved into a dedicated retail space, designed for professionals and passionate photographers looking for a more thoughtful, hands-on experience.
Today, Liva expands this vision further.
We bring together image and sound in one place: from cameras and binoculars to home cinema and audio systems with a carefully curated selection of high-end products. More than just a store, Liva is a space to discover, experience, and better understand the tools you use.
From the beginning, our focus has remained the same: offering clear guidance, strong expertise, and a selection we truly stand behind.
From 50.8 Shop to Liva
The transition from 50.8 Shop to Liva came naturally, alongside the move from Zaventem to Brussels and the opening of a new store in Antwerp.
With this evolution, our ambition is to be closer to our customers, through physical spaces designed for experience, exchange, and discovery.
Liva also marks a new direction. Beyond photography, our offering now extends to cameras, sports optics, home cinema, and audio systems, for a more complete approach.

Our photography equipment offering includes cameras and lenses from brands such as Leica, Hasselblad, and Fujifilm — tools known for their precision, design, and image quality.
Alongside photography, we develop a dedicated approach to home cinema and sound systems. From immersive visual setups to refined audio systems, including solutions from Devialet, our selection is built to create complete environments.
We also features a selection of binoculars and sport optics, suited for outdoor observation, travel, and wildlife use. These optical instruments complement the imaging offer, with a focus on clarity, precision, and ease of use in the field.
