FAQ

What products can I sell?

We primarily purchase and accept trade-ins for cameras and lenses from the brands we carry in store. This mainly includes camera bodies and lenses. Certain accessories may also be accepted depending on the product and its condition. Exceptions can be considered on a case-by-case basis, depending on current market demand and the value of the equipment.

Can I sell several products at the same time?

Yes, it is possible to sell or trade-in several cameras and lenses in a single application. Each product is appraised separately to guarantee a precise buy-back price in line with its condition. This allows you to optimize the overall amount if you wish to renew all your equipment.

What accessories do I need?

To maximize the value of your camera or lens, it is recommended to include the original accessories such as the battery, charger, lens caps, lens hood and box. Their presence can positively influence the trade-in value, as it makes the equipment easier to resell on the second-hand market.

How is the condition of my equipment determined?

The condition of your camera equipment is evaluated in store. We check the overall appearance as well as the mechanical and electronic functionality of the equipment. For cameras, the shutter count may also be taken into account. This inspection allows us to determine a value that reflects the actual condition of the product and the current market.

What's the difference between a sale and a trade-in?

Selling a camera means you receive a payment into your bank account once the offer has been validated. Trade-in, on the other hand, allows you to use the value of your camera equipment as an immediate deduction on a new purchase. Trade-in is particularly advantageous if you wish to partially finance your next camera body or lens.

What about VAT?

When we take back photographic equipment from a private individual, the equipment is treated under the margin system. There is therefore no VAT to invoice.
For professional customers subject to VAT, an exchange with VAT is possible depending on your tax regime and the type of transaction. If you'd like to know more about VAT on the sale or trade-in of photo equipment, our team will provide you with the information you need.

When will I receive my money?

If you choose a trade-in, once the offer for your camera or lens has been definitively accepted, the value is deducted directly from your new purchase. If you do not wish to buy new camera or photo equipment, the amount can be paid directly to your bank account.

Can I cancel my request?

You can cancel your request as long as the offer has not been definitively validated. If you are not satisfied with the final offer after inspection of your photo equipment, you can refuse and get your equipment back.
