E55 UV/IR Filter – Second Hand Leica

This second-hand Leica E55 UV/IR filter is recommended for use with the Leica Digital M8. As the M8 sensor was designed without a full IR protection filter to preserve maximum optical performance, this filter helps prevent unwanted color casts. It effectively reduces pink, purple, or reddish tones that may appear on black synthetic materials under certain lighting conditions, such as incandescent light. The filter also provides additional protection for the front element of the lens.
