The Vario-Elmar-SL 100-400mm f/5-6.3 features an optical design with 22 elements in 16 groups. The two outer lenses are coated with Aqua-Dura®, making them resistant to water and dirt.

The detachable tripod base is compatible with ARCA-SWISS systems, offering great convenience. It can be directly mounted into a compatible system without the need for a quick-release plate, ensuring a stable connection.

The tripod clamp can be locked securely at any angle, with distinct stops every 90 degrees to enable quick switching between portrait and landscape orientations.
